Belt Press

A belt press is ideal for dewatering sludge produced from industrial wastewater treatment plants such as DAF systems, Clarifiers plus Activated Sludge and Sedimentation processes. A volume reduction of up to 97% can be achieved.

EWT manufacture a comprehensive range of belt presses from 0.5m, 5 roller economy units to 3m wide, 9 compression roller machines with the largest systems handling up to 800Kg/hr dry solids.

All EWT belt presses are manufactured in stainless steel as a standard. All belt presses are of heavy duty construction, for treating 500 L/h through to 80 m3/h of sludge.

EWT's Belt Presses can be fitted with pre-thickening in order to process sludge when the initial concentration is less than 1.0% w/w solids. The pre-thickener can be either a gravity belt thickener or rotary screen thickener. The use of a Gravity Belt Thickener can enable the dewatering of up to 120 m3/h of sludge in single train.

EWT can offer packaged dewatering systems including ancillaries such as controls, pumps and Automated Polymer Rigs. Skid mounted and trailer mounted units are also available.

Screw Presses

Screw Presses are high capacity units with minimal space requirement compared to capacity. Screw presses are suitable for different sludges such as: primary, deinking sludges, pith and bagasse. Screw presses give smooth and successful operation over full speed range. Screw presses are economical due to low maintenance cost and high availability.
